When we founded Nilo in 2024, we had a simple idea: What if making a game could be as fun as playing one?
We believe creativity shouldn’t need an art or engineering degree. It should feel playful, instant, and social; just like games themselves. That’s why we built Nilo: a browser-based AI-native platform that lets anyone transform text, images, or voice prompts into interactive multiplayer 3D worlds in seconds.

A New Kind of 3D Creation Platform
Nilo is a collaborative 3D platform that works across desktop, mobile, Discord, and Telegram. It combines generative AI with world-building tools, allowing users to generate assets, characters, animations, and code from natural language or drawings. The result: a radically simplified creation experience that lowers the barrier to entry and accelerates how quickly new ideas can be built, tested, and shared.
It’s creation at the speed of culture: whether spinning up a game inspired by today’s viral sound, turning a group chat joke into a playable world or crafting a custom hangout, Nilo transforms imagination into interaction — instantly and collaboratively.
Nilo’s key features include:
- Text-to-3D generation: Create characters, environments, and code from prompts or images.
- Browser-Based: Nilo runs entirely in your browser - no installs, no downloads, no friction.
- Voice-enabled coding: A built-in AI-powered code editor that supports spoken commands and natural language for playful, social programming.
- Real-time multiplayer: Co-create and play with friends instantly.
Made for Gen Alpha: 3D Creation that feels like play
Gen Alpha has grown up in virtual worlds. For them, Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite aren’t just games; they’re hangouts, creative canvases, and places to express themselves. Yet platforms for deep creative expression, like Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, and Roblox Studio, remain inaccessible due to their complexity. Making games is hard. Far harder than it needs to be.
That’s where Nilo comes in. Nilo makes 3D creation playful, social, and instant. With AI, we remove the steep learning curve so that aspiring builders can jump straight into the games, characters, and worlds they already imagine.
The appetite is massive. Over 735 million people log into Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft each month, proving that user-generated 3D content is the future of online gaming. What’s missing is a platform like Nilo- a platform that lets all aspiring builders, not just professional developers, create interactive 3D worlds and games.
Building Nilo
We founded Nilo in April 2024, bringing together veterans from Fortnite, Twitch, YouTube, Snapchat, Microsoft, Adobe, Blizzard, VRChat, Rec Room, and major VFX projects such as Avatar and Star Wars.
To accelerate our mission, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve raised $4 million in seed funding, led by Supercell, creators of Clash of Clans, with participation from leading investors such as a16z speedrun, Kfund, Flex Capital, Next Tier Ventures, Essence VC, CoreNest Capital, Shilling (VC arm of Draycott), Earthling VC, Prototype Capital, and Script Capital. The round also includes support from leading angels such as Marc Petit, Blake Hall, Matt Bilbey, Logan Kilpatrick, Denes Ban, Safi Bahcall, and others.
What’s Next?
We’re building Nilo for a generation that remixes culture in real time. Our goal is to make 3D creation feel as natural and playful as posting a meme or starting a group chat. This funding helps us move faster toward that future — one where anyone can build the worlds they want to live in.
We’ve just started welcoming our first Founding Builders to Nilo’s closed Early Access. If you’d like to be part of shaping the future of play, join our Discord and become a Founding Builder to get Early Access to Nilo.
This is just the beginning –we can’t wait to see what you create.
Cheers,
The Nilo Team
